The LXP was designed for high speed
production of sheetmetal and plate, with maximum beam on time through automatic loading. With this cell, sheets up to 1287 lbs. can be loaded.
The LXP features a moving bridge design,
driven by a dual ballscrew, nut drive mechanism. Twin AC Digital servo motors
drive the bridge. By driving the nut instead of the ballscrew, very high speeds can be attained with no ballscrew inertia to overcome. The system enjoys the accuracy
and precision of a ball screw drive, vs. rack & pinion drives others use, which are fast but not as accurate as the ballscrews. The drive system of the LXP is maximized for faster cutting allowing for speeds of up to 3340 IPM. The LXP has a very quick set up and part
change over time as no tooling change is
required.
This unit uses an automatic loader that will change work tables in 29 seconds. The goal with this machine is non-stop operation, where loading, unloading and stacking materials is done while the machine is cutting. Driven by a rack and pinion drive, the loader is controlled by the same Mitsubishi controller the machine
uses, which means coordinated operation.
All of this together means less cost to produce your parts.
